= door-to-door travel hours.

For only 17 hours of actual flight time, that was a long jaunt! It's amazing how short 37 hours is when you're at home or elsewhere, with endless options of where and how to sit, walk, stand, sleep, eat... and then how long that same number of hours becomes when your options are entirely limited in the confined spaces of a 747.

Highlights: A long layover in SF that turned into a spontaneous run to the city with Daniel and Laura to see the seals, ride on the carousel, eat cotton candy and donuts!!

Lowlights: After a 14 hour flight, landing into a packed Sydney airport in the middle of a union strike! Ugh.
